February 2020 Monthly Ride Report Recap

February 2020 was quite similar to the previous month which may be due to the closure of multiple amusement parks due to COVID-19. There were four (4) incidents in the month of February with incidents happening all over the world.

In an incident that occurred in Peru, a “worm” style kiddie coaster derailed and two patrons were injured. They sustained head injuries on falling to the pavement, and received medical aid. This event was classified as a “malfunction” with the operational stage of “ride in motion”. The news article (Serial #61) that was analyzed produced 80% completeness score as it was just missing data on which stage of operation the injury occurred.
