January 2020 Monthly Ride Report Recap

The month of January was relatively quiet with three captured incidents. Two of the three were waterpark incidents, one of which will be highlighted in this month’s recap.

Two patrons at Aquapolis in Argentina received medical care after what was described as “misuse” by water park officials. The couple refused to weigh themselves on the scale in the tower prior to proceeding down the waterslide. While it is clear in news article (Serial #57) that the patrons’ action was deliberate, it is unclear whether the patrons encroached on the ride path or the operational response did not obstruct them. In addition occurrence at a waterpark was inferred from the ride type. The produced an 80% completeness score.
